UNIVERSIDAD PONTIFICIA DE MEXICO

Pontifical University of Mexico is considered a continuator of the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico, promoted by the first Bishop of Mexico, Fray Juan de Zumárraga, and by the first Viceroy of New Spain, Mr. Antonio de Mendoza.It is governed by Canon Law, by the Ex Corde Ecclesiae Apostolic Constitution, by the relevant Ordinances of the Mexican Episcopate Conference, by the Mexican civil legislation applicable to this University and by these Statutes and its complementary Regulations.
