THE NUTRACEUTICAL ALLIANCE

Founded in 2013, the Nutraceutical Alliance provides an interface between product development, product testing, animal and literature research, product registration, and the regulatory environment. It is our mission to be the global leader in the objective assessment of nutraceuticals, feeds and pharmaceuticals for use in livestock and companion animals. We offer the following services: preparation of research grant proposals to access funding support for research; comprehensive literature revie... ws; design and preparation of detailed research proposals and placement in research laboratories; execution of target animal safety and/or efficacy studies, and/or in vitro high-throughput screening models; toxicology studies; pharmacokinetics and drug residue testing publication of research results in peer-reviewed scientific literature; presentation of research results at local, national and/or international conferences or business venues. Company President, Dr. Wendy Pearson received her PhD from the Dept of Biomedical Sciences at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, with a specialization in efficacy and safety of nutraceutical products in horses with arthritis. Her NSERC-funded post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Guelph focussed on the effects of ‘designer plants’ on arthritis in horses. Prior to starting the Nutraceutical Alliance, Dr. Pearson worked for a multinational research and development consulting firm specializing in natural veterinary drug development. Vice President Dr. Mike Lindinger was an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph at the time of his retirement in 2012, after 25 years of service. He has specialized in skeletal muscle and blood responses to exercise, the physiology of heat stress, heat acclimation and exercise, non-invasive methods of assessing hydration in high-performance horses, and screening and testing of nutraceutical products for anti-inflammatory or nutritional benefits.
