Board of Directors comprised of self-advocates, family members, professionals, and former personnel. The Board ensures the Society is compliant with best-practices and accountable to stakeholders. Strive Living Society’s roots date back to 1988 when a psychologist and social worker realized a vision to change the way society supported individuals with disabilities and health-related issues. Strive began with the opening of one home in North Vancouver for three people who had been previously labelled as “too challenging to support in the community.” Since then, Strive has grown into a multi-service, non-profit agency offering services to children, youth, and adults with varying degrees of ability and individualized needs across Southern BC.
