Seturotech Co., Ltd. is a biotechnology venture company established on February 22, 2017 by Tatsuya Takemoto (PI: Principal Investigator) of the University of Tokushima as a venture from Tokushima University. In 2015, Takemoto and Masakazu Hashimoto (Osaka University) developed a simple and highly efficient method for producing genetically modified (genome-edited) mice using CRISPR / Cas9, and filed a patent application for the technology. (GEEP method), a technology that introduces molecules required for genome editing by CRISPR into fertilized eggs at high throughput by the power of electricity (electroporation).
