SE Ventures is a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund backed by Schneider Electric. It specializes in seed, start-up, early venture, mid venture, and late venture investments. The fund seeks to invest in emerging technologies in communication, micro-generation of electricity, and sensors; enabling technologies such as MEMS, nanotechnologies, and optoelectronics; and new services and networking applications in building automation, energy monitoring, and industry sectors. The firm prefers to invest in companies based in the United States, China, and Europe. The fund seeks to invest between €0.3 million ($0.39 million) and €1 million ($1.30 million) in its portfolio companies.
