The operational offices are located in Johannesburg, South Africa. Aimed at disrupting the traditional mobile market on the African continent, mi-Fone has continuously launched innovative products since its inception in 2008. mi-Fone believes that access to relevant life tools and technology is a necessity for the people of Africa... , and not just a privilege. With this in mind, they created “Aspiration… Within Reach”. mi-Fone develops mobile products that are stylish yet reliable and affordable for the mass market African population, which earns less than $200 monthly. The company is made up of an expert team of individuals with vast experience in the Mobile Telecoms industry. The company primarily targets the youth of Africa and offers products that meet their needs and addresses in-demand functionalities such as affordable, relevant apps, dual SIM, long lasting batteries, and durable products. mi-Fone is available in 12+ countries currently across Africa. Alpesh Patel founded the mi-Fone brand in April 2008, when he saw a gap in the market for affordable mobile devices for the majority of Africa’s 1.3 billion population who earns less than $200 per month. The core team has extensive knowledge of telecommunications and experience within the industry. mi-Fone was set up using the founder’s own personal savings and some strategic partnerships both in China and key African countries.
