Kita’s purpose is to be a new type of insurance company, accelerating the shift to a new decarbonised world. The climate crisis requires carbon sequestration solutions to remove carbon from the atmosphere. Unfortunately, these solutions lack insurance for their key asset - carbon offsets sold within the voluntary carbon markets. This gap contributes to an environment of uncertainty, holding back development, investment and the ability to scale these solutions at speed to achieve necessary c... limate impact. Our vision is to be the world’s first “carbon insurer”, using parametric insurance products that address this challenge by guaranteeing the quality and delivery of carbon offsets and negative emission technologies. By removing risk on both sides of the carbon transaction, Kita will accelerate the development of high-quality solutions to fight the climate crisis.
