In addition to being a Christian school dedicated to spiritual and academic development, Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, has the distinction of producing scholars and a high number of graduate students. College life at Georgetown includes academic, fine art, literary and special interest clubs. Georgetown also has its own student-run radio station. The extensive financial aid options available at Georgetown make getting a quality education possible to students from all economic backgrounds. Need-based sources include grants, loans and work-study. There is also a wide range of scholarships for eligible students. Some are based on academic merit, and have such requirements as a minimum grade point average of 3.75, while others are awarded based on talent. Still others are given to those pursuing a specific major. Georgetown also awards veteran’s benefits. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, an overall average of at least a B and be in the top half of their graduating class. ACT or SAT scores are also evaluated.More
