Enza Biotech operates in the borderland between science and business and sets out to become a key player in the transition from a fossil-dependent to a biobased society. Enza Biotech was founded in 2012 and is a privately owned Biotech-company. The company is situated at Chemical Center in Lund, in Southern Sweden, with close links to the scientific environment at Lund University. By combining insights in industrial challenges with a molecular understanding and knowledge of biotechnology-based production methods, novel and innovative molecules can be designed and produced with benefits that meet the needs of the market. Enza's first product is a green surfactant suitable for formulation of cosmetics, personal care products, and pharmaceuticals.
