CoProcure aims to solve the information gap in public purchasing. Local U.S. governments spend $1.5T / year (7% of U.S. GDP) buying goods and services. Government buyers must purchase from contracts created through formal competitive bidding, a 4-24 month-long process. As an alternative to creating a new contract, buyers may purchase from contracts that other governments have created.
