Banking Institute College is a modern university that offers economic education and research at the highest level. Banking Institute or College of Banking (BIVŠ) is the oldest Czech private university. Beginning of the development of BIVŠ as a pioneer of non-state tertiary education e August 1991, when the Institute of Banking Education was established as part of the then Czechoslovak State Bank with the mission to serve the entire banking sector. In 2001, the German holding-type education company COGNOS AG joined BIVŠ, and thus the Banking Institute or College of Banking became the first Czech private university with a foreign strategic partner.
