6N Silicon, Inc. manufactures solar grade silicon and polysilicon for the use in the production of solar cells in North America, Europe, and Asia. It develops a process for purifying metallurgical grade silicon into solar grade silicon using metallurgical processing. Its silicon purification process provides an approach to the production of solar grade silicon for the photovoltaic industry. 6N Silicon, Inc. was founded in 2006 and is based in Vaughan, Canada. As of February 11, 2010, 6N Silicon Inc. operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of CaliSolar, Inc.
