YORK STREET PROJECT
York Street Project is a nonprofit organization that organizes fundraising events and other innovative programs to provide education, food, shelter, and care for women, children, and their families. Sisters of st. joseph of peace started the organization in 1989 to break the cycle of poverty for women and children. The programs joseph’s home, st. mary’s residence, and the nurturing place formed to help people in the community by offering affordable housing, child care, and living assistance.
