Yengii Biosciences develops the Galet smartphone microscope for detecting infectious illnesses such as malaria, sleeping sickness, and tuberculosis. The Galet platform is intended to do very complicated blood film analysis in a simple, portable point-of-care tool, which is now limited to high-end laboratories. Making such blood film analysis more available would allow for the early diagnosis of the most serious health concerns, such as malaria, and will save lives.
