Situated on a scenic campus in Bellingham, Washington, Whatcom Community College offers comprehensive academics, including transfer and professional degrees and programs for special populations. To cater to its fairly high enrollment, Whatcom grants transfer degrees and degrees in many fields, such as Business, Early Childhood Education, Medical Assisting, Nursing and Paralegal Studies. At Whatcom you can also benefit from numerous specialized programs, which include non-degree community educa... tion courses, worker retraining programs, ESL programs, classes for high school students and classes for those over age 50. The student services at Whatcom are in place to offer personal, academic and career counseling and provide support to veterans and disabled students. Student activities and organizations include a school newspaper, film screenings, field trips, on-campus lectures, recreational opportunities and various student clubs. Admission to a Whatcom associateโs degree program is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who has a high school diploma or GED. Tuition is significantly lower for Washington State residents. However, those who still require assistance may apply for financial aid.
