WAV Capital is a student-owned and operated venture capital fund in Western Canada. Through its early-stage funding opportunities, WAV is committed to building the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Alberta. Recognizing the difficulties many entrepreneurs, especially students and recent graduates, have with obtaining early funding, WAV Capital fills the gap of micro-funding for Alberta-based startups. WAV allocates a portion of its funds to student startups and is committed to hiring students, providing a platform for them to engage in experiential learning opportunities in Alberta’s startup and venture capital communities.
