The company has developed its own technology ( Enabler DSR ) to manage energy-consuming heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) processes, adjusting the control to the thermal characteristics of buildings, weather conditions, load (the number of people staying inside) and other parameters. The main goal of VPPlant is to launch a fully functional virtual power plant in Poland. To this end, the company develops services and an IT system that aggregates the potential for shifting energy consumption in building groups that will allow energy companies to make this potential available in the form of negawats (energy consciously depleted) under the Demand Side Response (DSR) . While realizing the services, VPPlant assumes current control over the existing building automation systems (BMS) and introduces optimal control algorithms, which translates into achieving savings on electricity and heat at the level of up to 25%. The VPPlant technology is unique due to the possibility of using independently of the BMS used in the BMS system, as well as in facilities without extensive BMS systems. VPPlant specializes in optimizing facilities such as cinemas, large-scale stores, and sports halls. Currently, the company is working on the development of technology and its adaptation to swimming pool facilities ( OHT project ) and office buildings ( oBEMS project ). VPPlant is the first project co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development from the BRIdge Alfa instrument . VPPlant is a member of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications .
