The company’s divisions include the auto suture, which offers surgical devices and laparoscopic instrumentation for general and specialty procedures; the syneture division that provides sutures and biosurgery products; and USS sports medicine that offers spinal fixation and sports medicine products. US Surgical’s products target the surgical specialties of orthopedics, vascular therapies, urology, and breast care. US Surgical was incorporated in 1964 and is based in Norwalk, Connecticut. It operates as a subsidiary of Covidien.
