URISA'S GISCORPS

URISA's GISCorps is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer GIS support to organizations and communities in need. They also operate under the auspices of URISA and coordinates short-term, volunteer-based GIS services to communities in need worldwide. The organization specializing in the area of services including conservation, health and human services, disaster response, GIS education, humanitarian relief, expert crowdsourcing, and environmental quality. URISA's GISCorps has received the 2012 - Presidential Volunteer Service Award. It was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA.
