UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTHWEST

University of the Southwest (USW) is an ideal destination for college-bound Christian students of all denominations who reside or are interested in living in the Southwest. At USW, comprehensive undergraduate academics are complemented by opportunities for spiritual growth and practice. Located in the town of Hobbs in the enchanting state of New Mexico, USW is, at its core, committed to the teachings of the Bible. Students are also given mentoring by a faculty advisor, who assists them in integrating their faith into other areas of their life. Academics are offered through distinctive divisions, which include Arts and Sciences, Business and Education. Students may also get involved in other areas of college life by participating in arts, cultural, service and other types of clubs. Admissions requirements include transcripts and SAT or ACT scores for applicants under the age of 24. The minimum required SAT score is 910, the minimum ACT should be 19 and the grade point average for admitted students must be at least 2.0. USW offers numerous academic scholarships to those who qualify as well as access to private scholarship listings. Students may also apply for school scholarships or other types of grants.
