The University of the District of Columbia offers students over 75 degree programs in a wide variety of fields. Aside from more traditional majors, students can pursue degrees in programs such as Clinical Psychology, Fashion Merchandising and Cancer Biology and Prevention. University of the District of Columbia is an HBCU. Prospective students can apply to the Community College to pursue their associateโ€™s degree or to the Flagship to pursue their bachelorโ€™s. If applicants are not accepted ... into the Flagship, the university will admit qualifying students to the Community college so that they may seek to transfer to the Flagship when eligible. Applicants must have a high school degree or a G.E.D. to apply to The University of the District of Columbia. For admissions to the Flagship, students must have maintained a high school GPA of 2.5 and received at least a 1200 on the SAT or 16 on the ACT, or maintained a high school GPA of 2.0 and scored at least 1400 on the SAT and 19 on the ACT. Students seeking financial aid should fill out a FAFSA form to see if they qualify. While The University of the District of Columbia does not offer on-campus housing, it does offer off-campus housing to qualifying students.
