U-Subs Deli will be the first quick serve restaurant to serve vertical subs. A vertical Sub is a sub that uses an unsliced bread roll which is cored out and toasted than stuffed and served standing up (vertically). There are a few full service restaurants around the country selling vertical subs and doing very well but none have developed a patented tool to insert the ingredients like we have. We can make a sub using our special toaster and loading tool in under 30 seconds which is ideal for a drive thru concept.
