Touch of Life Technologies, Inc. (ToLTech) was formed in 1998 by four University of Colorado School of Medicine faculty to design, patent and market medical education products based on technology developed at the University of Colorado Center for Human Simulation. ToLTech is expanding that technology to capitalize on the imminent paradigm shift in medical education toward simulation as the means by which procedures will be first learned. One such example is the VH Dissector, a currently available, integrated educational software system that allows unparalleled learning in a highly interactive anatomy-based environment. Each market will possess a current need for advanced medical education. That need will be met by improving upon an existing technology or device, or by designing a simulator to serve a need that is clearly defined and acknowledged by medical professionals.
