Plenty of conservatories offer arts training, but few are as comprehensive in scope as the University of the Arts. As one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the United States, the University of the Arts teaches a variety of creative disciplines. The school’s academics offers programs in the following areas: *Design *Visual Arts *Music *Dance *Theater *Film More than 35 undergraduate and graduate degree programs are available, including unique concentrations like Book Art/Publishing, ... Museum Communication and Music Business. The curriculum is two-thirds arts training and one-third liberal arts education, so you’ll get a well-rounded education while studying what you love. As a conservatory, the University of the Arts’ admissions are largely talent-based. The application process varies depending on the program, but most require a portfolio or audition. Scholarships are also largely based on talent, as well as academic achievement. The university also offers need-based grants to those who qualify, and is eligible for federal aid programs.
