THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
The National Assembly is a government organization that deputies are elected to represent the French people and to legislate and control the action of the Government. Three main categories of staff work for them: civil servants, parliamentary staff, and those from political groups. Civil servants are assigned to either the legislative or administrative services, where they assist deputies in their role as legislators and the control of governmental activity, or the administrative services, wher... e they contribute to the institution's daily operations and manage the material resources made available to Members. Parliamentary assistants are hired directly by deputies under private law contracts, which give them the status of employers who hire, fire, and set their working conditions and remuneration. The deputies also determine the professional missions of their helpers based on their needs. It is founded in 1789.
