THE INSTITUTE FOR THE PROMOTION OF INNOVATION BY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN FLANDERS

The Institute for the promotion of Innovation by Science and Technology (Innovatie door Wetenschap en Technologie, IWT-Flanders) is a public institution in Flanders (Belgium) to provide R&D and innovation support. The institute was established by the Flemish government in 1991. To support its goal the institute has several financial tools and an annual budget of 190 million EUR (in 2002) at its disposal.
