After launching in February 1996, Switchboard introduced the Inter... net's first interactive yellow pages display ads. These ads were the first to capture the look and feel of traditional yellow pages print ads in an online environment. Switchboard was sold by parent company [Infospace](/organization/infospace) to Idearc Media, Now [SuperMedia](/organization/idearc), in September 2007.
