Stroke Rehab develops a medical device to aid stroke patients during the rehabilitation stage. Stroke Rehab's product, STIMEL-03, combines the advantages of the EMG abilities to record electric activity that reflects muscle tension from paralyzed patients after stroke. The system measures the patients EMG as a reference and a higher level of a stimulus that causes movement is activated. With STIMEL-03, a real time display shows the patient his EMG signal, and its relation to a predefined threshold. This feedback mechanism provides a significant added value to the suggested system.
