Shoe Zone is a value footwear retailer that sells a vast range of shoes for all ages. With over 500 stores across the UK, Shoe Zone sells over 20 million pairs of shoes a year. In 2010, the Smith family celebrated 30 years of ownership of the Shoe Zone business. Before they acquired Bensonshoe in 1980, its annual sales were £1.6 million and it had 48 stores based in Central England. In 2000, the trading name was changed to Shoe Zone and a new cleaner shopfit was developed, creating an easy to... shop, classless environment in which customers felt at home shopping for value shoes. This, coupled with continuous improvements in product quality and value, set the scene for an exciting new decade of growth. In March 2010, Shoe Zone entered multi-channel retailing with the launch of its first transactional website.
