ScreenPay is an app that pays you to get advertisements based on your personal interests and lifestyle right on your phone's lockscreen. The company has developed the technology to serve content, ads, and promotions programatically to Android users lock screen. Once the user unlocks the phone, the ad disappears so it does not interfere with the user’s ability to make calls or take other actions. The ads that are served are relevant to the individual user based on demographic information that ... they provide to them or that they get when a user logs-in via Facebook Connect. The company will get its install base by paying users a monthly fee to allow them to have this ad on their lock screen. The more demographic information they provide to the company, the more money the user can make. The business model is arbitrage the gross ad revenue they make off of each user against what they pay out to the user.
