SAMBA
Samba is the standard Windows interoperability suite of programs that provides file and print services for all clients using the SMB/CIFS protocol such as Linux, DOS, Unix, and more. The free software is licensed under the GNU General Public License. It is a component that integrates Linux and Unix servers and desktops into active directory environments. It also functions as a domain controller and regular domain member. Samba project is a member of the Software Freedom Conservancy. Samba was launched in 1992.
