SAGINAW CHIPPEWA TRIBAL COLLEGE
Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College (SCTC) is a small, two-year institution of higher learning that is located in scenic Mount Pleasant, Michigan. SCTC was formed with the intention of sustaining the Anishnaabe culture and values through academics and higher education. Academics include associateโs degree programs in Business, Liberal Arts, and Native American Studies. For all degree programs, there are general education requirements that need to be met as well. Academic advisors are available t... o those who need assistance with classes and degree planning. Applicants for admissions to SCTC must take a COMPASS placement exam or submit official high school or college transcripts, showing that they already completed equivalent coursework. Students have the option of transferring credits from other institutions and applying them to an associateโs degree at SCTC. Those students must have maintained a minimum GPA, and they must submit documentation of credits for evaluation and consideration by the schoolโs curriculum committee. Federal and private sources of financial aid are provided to those who are eligible. Tribal scholarships are also granted to qualifying students.
