ROOTSACTION
RootsAction is an online activism that fights for policy changes through online petitions and email action pages, which generate emails to government officials and other targets. The online initiative grew to 100,000 people by the end of 2011, and 200,000 by the end of 2012, 500,000 by the end of 2014, and over 550,000 by April 2015. RootsAction is committed to economic fairness, equal rights, civil liberties, environmental protection, and defunding endless wars. Launched in 2011 by [Norman Solomon](https://www.crunchbase.com/person/norman-solomon) and [Jeff Cohen](https://www.crunchbase.com/person/jeff-cohen-4), it is based in the United States.
