The affected area covers 10 villages downstream from Dandeli, which is a major industrial city of Karnataka. Dandeli is situated in the Haliyal taluka of Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka and has approximately 1,500 inhabitants. It is here that the RBF technique was implemented to provide safe drinking water.
Its activities move from formulating local- and national-level strategies to developing global solutions. Over the years, TERI`s global affiliates and centers have developed strong collaborations with like-minded institutions and important organizations to further the cause of sustainable development.
