Reno Energy Park, LLC (‘REP’) is acquiring and developing 3700 acres of land near Fernley, NV in the Reno/Sparks Interstate I-80 corridor. Upon completion, REP will be the largest industrial/commercial development in the US powered by renewable energy. Some initial development is in place, including a 48MW geothermal power plant, 10MW of solar and a 100MW transmission line. The real estate asset is strategically located with access to the interstate highway system, two main rail lines, Union... Pacific and Burlington Northern railroads traverse the property with direct access to 5 major ports that serve the Pacific Rim, and a 1 day drive to 10 major cities with 60 million consumers. In addition, the property has an attractive topology (less than 2% grade), has access to Nevada Basin 101 water, multiple fiber optic trunk lines and is classified as a Federal Foreign Trade Zone and HUD Zone. The opportunity to unlock the value of REP has been triggered by Beverly Hill based developer TerraScale’s commitment in choosing REP for its Project Energos pilot for a rollout of twenty 20MW+ Tier 3 data centers across strategic US locations.
