RASMUSSENGRUPPEN
The story of RASMUSSENGRUPPEN AS begins in 1936. Then the first company in the group was established by then shipowner Einar Rasmussen. In the period after World War II, the group built a significant business in international shipping. In addition to investing in conventional tank and bulk shipping, it was also focused on developing niche products such as buoyancy loaders and housing and service platforms. The business comprised at most an advanced fleet of approx. 20 units. In the period 1997 ... to 2003, the group implemented a strategic change process in which the business focused mainly on three business areas: financial investments, property, and international shipping. Real estate is currently run through the wholly owned subsidiary AVANTOR AS. The shipping / offshore business is concentrated on strategic ownership in Shearwater Geoservices Holding AS. The Group's financial investments are concentrated in quality companies with satisfactory earnings and moderate debt.
