POR LA MAR NURSERY
Por La Mar Nursery was started in Santa Barbara, California by Ronald and Patricia Caird out of a passion. The name Por La Mar translates to "By the Sea" and was created in 1972 with six acres of land, an orange VW van, and a lot of hard work. Ron, a horticulturist, and Pat, a teacher (hence the van), set off on a journey that has lasted for over 45 years.
