Piada Italian Street Food was inspired by the roadside family-run food carts and markets found in Rimini, Italy, and the company's first restaurant opened in 2010. In 2013, Nation's Restaurant News recognized Piada as a community-minded restaurant company in its annual "Hot Concepts" awards. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Piada has locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Texas and is opening locations in Minneapolis.
