PExA develops, produces and markets a research instrument for studying respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD. The original idea and research behind the method comes from Professor Anna-Carin Olin's research team at the University of Gothenburg University of Technology at the Sahlgrenska Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AMM) and is based on a whole new method of collecting small airway materials: particles in exhalation air.
