OsangJaiel is establishing mass-production facilities on 4.1 acres of land in the Seosan Techno Valley in Cheongnam, after becoming the first in the world to produce boehmite using the hydrothermal chemical method. Boehmite, mainly used as a catalyst or catalyst carrier in petrochemistry, is a basic material for industry, once entirely imported in the absence of domestic production. Today, their company possess the technology to produce (by calcinating or sintering) gamma-alumina and alpha-alumi... na, which are used as basic materials in LED substrates, in coating for rechargeable battery separators, and in abradants, which require abrasion and chemical resistances. The strength of their advanced materials is that their production method is both eco-friendly, requiring water and aluminum as the sole inputs, and can meet diverse requirements of their customers simply and flexibly. OsangJaiel, therefore, now holds the key both to replacing imports of these materials basic to industries, and to their company’s future on global frontiers.
