NVVN is a power trading company involved in the short term, medium term, and long term power trading; solar bundled power; cross border power trading with Bangladesh and Bhutan; and power swap arrangement activities. The company serves approximately 100 customers comprising power utilities, solar power developers, independent power producers, captive power plants, and industrial consumers in the five electricity regions in India. NVVN commenced its first trading operations with the supply of surplus power from Eastern Region Stations of NTPC to Meghalaya State Electricity Board and Assam State Electricity Board. The Company was granted category-E license by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission for inter-state trading of electricity in 2004.
