NORTHPOINTE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

At Northpointe, their goal is to improve the overall health of the community by helping people who are challenged by mental illness or developmental disabilities. Northpointe is certified by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and provides a full range of quality services for persons of all ages that meet the Michigan Mental Health Code’s priority population definition. Generally, it would be those individuals with the most severe form of mental illness, emotional disturbance, an... d/or developmental disability. Their consumers enter an extremely flexible system that shapes itself to the individual and are provided in the least restrictive setting. Through a person-centered planning approach to care, they provide treatment in a respectful, confidential manner, enabling individuals to gain new skills and strengths, which are necessary to support ongoing wellness. As an important member of the community, they are committed to working with primary healthcare providers, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, the justice system, advocates, and local human service providers.More
