Nine Star is a multi-channel retailer of equipment and apparel related to the skate, surf, snow and BMX action sports categories. Its first prototype store in West Los Angeles ─ a retail and entertainment Action Sports Center ─ opened in November 2003. After the success of its prototype store which has exceeded industry averages in terms of sales per square foot, Nine Star is rolling-out the concept nationally, starting with other locations across Southern California.
