NEW PROFESSIONS TECHNICAL INSTITUTE
Founded in 1992, New Professions Technical Institute (NPTI) is a private vocational school located in Miami that educates students across South Florida. The institute offers certificate programs for quick career training in business, technology and health and medical services. Addressing the needs of the multicultural Miami community, the institute also offers a six-level English as a Second Language program for non-native speakers of English. All certificate programs at the institute can be... completed in several months, enabling students to start their careers sooner. NPTI believes that education is the key to success and is dedicated to preparing each student for the transition into his new career. Applicants are required to visit the campus and meet with a representative who can help them complete their applications. The representative is also there to provide information to prospective students about the programs they are considering. For more information on the admissions process, contact the institute. New Professions Technical Institute has a mission to graduate students who are ready to become assets in their chosen professions. Our classes reflect current trends in the community and provide hands-on practical training that prepares students for employment upon graduation. Classes are offered day and night to accommodate students who need to continue work while earning their certificates. The development of the individual does not stop at the classroom and NPTI meets these other needs through student and cultural activities, such as art exhibits and live music shows. On campus, the school offers services including a library and job placement. There is no on-campus housing available to students, but affordable housing can be found nearby. Students who want to attend NPTI, but think they cannot afford it should look into the college's financial assistance packages. Eligible students can receive funding from private or federal financial aid programs, such as work-study programs, grants and students loans. NPTI also offers on-campus part-time employment in exchange for a reduced tuition rate. Contact New Professions Technical Institute for more information on obtaining financial aid. NPTI's job placement office assists students with finding a job after graduation. Students can get help preparing job-related documents such as resumes and cover letters. In addition, the office and other school faculty members aid students in obtaining information on job offers. The job placement office works hard to ensure success for every student, although the institute can never guarantee employment.
