Using protein engineering, they created a novel, non-opioid therapeutic that targets sensory neurons to “freeze” pain signals before they ever get to the brain. Promising laboratory and animal model findings show that their therapeutic, N-001, lasts longer than opioids while providing equivalent pain relief.
