Founded more than 40 years ago, Nebraska Indian Community College has strived to provide post-secondary academics for Native Americans in the Omaha, Santee Sioux, and Winnebago reservations. Nebraska Indian Community College (NICC) โ Macy Campus continues its tradition of accessible higher education, offering two-year academics in vocational and academic areas. After youโve spent two years at NICC, you can transfer to any of the following four-year schools: * University of Nebraska โ Lincoln * University of Nebraska โ Omaha * University of South Dakota * Wayne State College * Bellevue University This provides an excellent opportunity to advance your education further, should you feel the desire to earn a bachelorโs degree. Admissions requirements at NICC include an official high school or GED transcript, an official certificate of tribal enrollment and a $10 admissions fee. Before registering for classes, you must also take a placement test to determine the program thatโs right for you. If youโre interested in financial aid, you should also meet with a financial aid officer to complete the application.
