NATIONAL AVIARY
The National Aviary is the only independent indoor nonprofit zoo dedicated solely to birds in the United States. The National Aviary is located in the historic North Side of Pittsburgh. It houses more than 500 bird species from around the world, many of them endangered or threatened in the wild. In its large walk-through habitats, the National Aviary provides an experience unlike any other - an intimate, up-close encounter between visitors and free-flying birds, including the opportunity to hand-feed and meet many species rarely found in other zoos.
