NASTAR CENTER

The National Aerospace Training And Research (NASTAR) Center is a commercial air and space training, research, and educational facility. It combines flight simulation with physiology-based courseware to optimize human performance in extreme environments. The NASTAR Center actively collaborates with numerous agencies, including NASA, FAA, and JAA to promote safety in flight. It is popularly known for its Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) program for commercial aviators. It conducts research on human factors and man-machine interaction; learning and training methodologies; sensory physiology and motion perception; and stress, cognition, and human performance. Its research services comprise combined environments testing; test equipment; data collection, subjects, and operators; and internal IRB. The NASTAR Center’s education programs include summer camp programs, field trips, and professional teacher workshops. Its lessons incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) objectives.
