Monitor Company was a partnership providing management consultancy services to large corporations and governments. Â The partnership was formed in 1983 by six entrepreneurs including Michael Porter, the renowned Harvard University professor. Monitor was based in Massachusetts, and had 27 offices around the world in 17 countries. Monitor's consulting areas included strategy, leadership, innovation, economic development, and Social Action. The firm was affected by the U.S. economic crisis of 2008 and its U.S. subsidiary filed for bankruptcy. Â The firm was acquired by Deloitte in 2013.
