MID AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL
Mid-America Regional Council is a non-profit organization made up of municipal and county governments that serves as the metropolitan planning organization. MARC serves nine counties and 120 communities and is governed by a board of local elected leaders. MARC serves as a venue for the region to collaborate in order to accomplish social, economic, and environmental goals. MARC is supported through grants from the federal, state, and commercial sectors, as well as local contributions and earned income. Local governments and other organizations receive a large percentage of their funding for programs and services.
